Abstract

Assessment of Patient's Sexuality And Nursing: Barriers and Recommendations Patient's sexual health and sexual concerns assessment counseling are part of the nurse’s professional role and holistic care, but few nurses integrate this awareness into practice. Most of nurses were reluctant to discuss sexuality with their patients. The purpose of this review is to assess the barriers faced by nurses that restrict to assess the sexuality of the patient and to make suggestions that overcome these obstacles to improve nurses' sense of comfort and confidence needed.

HASTA CİNSELLİĞİNİN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ VE HEMŞİRELİK: ENGELLER VE ÖNERİLER

Abstract

Hastaların cinsel sağlığının ve cinselliğe ilişkin kaygılarının değerlendirilmesi profesyonel hemşirelik
rolünün ve holistik bakımın önemli bir parçasıdır. Ancak hemşirelerin çok azı bu beceriyi klinik uygulamalarına
entegre edebilmektedir. Hemşirelerin önemli bir kısmı ise hastalarıyla cinselliği tartışmada isteksizlik
yaşamaktadırlar. Bu derlemenin amacı hasta bireyin cinselliğinin değerlendirilmesinde hemşirelerin
karşılaştıkları engelleri tanımlamak ve bu engellerin üstesinden gelmek için hemşirelerin ihtiyaç duyduğu güven
ve rahatlık duygusunu artırmak için önerilerde bulunmaktır.
