Tip 2 Diyabetik Bireylerin Beslenme Durumu, Yeme Bağımlılığı ve Farkındalığının Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışma, Tip 2 diyabetli bireylerin beslenme durumu, yeme bağımlılığı ve farkındalığını değerlendirmek amacıyla yapılmıştır.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Başkent Üniversitesi Ankara Hastanesi Endokrinoloji Bölümü’ne başvuran, 18-65 yaş arası, 64 Tip 2 diyabet olan ve 64 Tip 2 diyabetik olmayan toplam 128 birey çalışmaya alınmıştır. Hastalara anket formu uygulanarak demografik özellikleri, hastalık bilgileri ve yaşam tarzı özellikleri sorgulanmıştır. Yeme bağımlılığı “Yale Yeme Bağımlılığı Ölçeği”, yeme farkındalığı ise “Yeme Farkındalığı Ölçeği” ile belirlenmiştir. Bireylerin antropometrik ölçümleri alınarak anket formuna kaydedilmiştir.
Bulgular: Çalışmaya 92 kadın (%71.9) ve 36 erkek (%28.1) olmak üzere toplam 128 birey alınmıştır. Katılımcıların 64’ü tip 2 diyabet tanısı almıştır. Bireylerin yaş ortalaması 47.23±9.95 yıl olarak belirtilmiştir. Yeme bağımlılığı değerlendirildiğinde Tip 2 diyabeti olan bireylerin 25’inde (%39.1) yeme bağımlılığı olduğu, 39’unda (%60.9) ise yeme bağımlılığı olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Tip 2 diyabeti olmayan bireylerin
19’unda (%29.7) yeme bağımlılığı olduğu, 45’inde (%70.3) ise yeme bağımlılığı olmadığı belirlenmiştir. İki grup arasındaki fark istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bulunmamıştır (p>0.05). Yeme bağımlılığı olan ve olmayan bireylerin diyabet durumlarına göre antropometrik ölçümlerinin karşılaştırılması yapılmıştır ve sadece vücut yağ yüzdesi (%) ölçümü arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark saptanmıştır (p<0.05). Tip 2 diyabet olan ve olmayan bireylere göre Yeme Farkındalığı Ölçeği-30 (YFÖ-30) alt faktör skorlarının karşılaştırılması yapıldığında “duygusal yeme”, “odaklanma” ve “yeme disiplini” faktörleri arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu tespit edilmiştir (p<0.05; p<0.01).
Sonuç: Tip 2 diyabet olan ve olmayan bireyleri arasında yeme bağımlılığı açısından istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilmemiştir. Yeme farkındalığı alt faktörlerinden ise “duygusal yeme”, “odaklanma” ve “yeme disiplini” arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu belirlenmiştir.
