Abstract
Üriner sistem infeksiyonları(ÜSİ) erişkin nüfusta
yaygın sorunlardandır. Kadınlar ÜSI’na daha yatk›ndı
r. Her beş kadından birinde yaşam boyu ÜSİ yakınması
olmaktadır. Yaı›lan çalışmalar 65–75 yaş grubundaki
kadınlarda ÜSİ prevalansının yaklaşık %20
olduğunu göstermektedir. 65–75 yaş grubu erkeklerde
prevalans %3’dür. E.coli etiyolojide rol oynayan en
yaygın etkendir.
Hemşirelik yönetimi, semptomların giderilmesi,
yaşlı bireyin uygun perianal hijyen konularında eğitilmesi
konularına odaklanmalıdır.
