Diabetic
patients with diabetic foot wounds that take a long time to heal, arterial
occlusion of the legs or neuropathy at the nerve endings. The most common
complication of diabetes is diabetic foot syndrome, which is an important cause
of morbidity and mortality.Physical, psychological and social evaluation of the
patient before and after the surgery is extremely important in nursing care. In
the planning and implementation and evaluation stages of nursing care,
appropriate theory models should be used by advancing in the light of
scientific knowledge. Faye Glenn Abdellah played a role in the developing of
nursing theories and created 21 understandable nursing problems. In this case
report which deals with nursing care with Abdellah's 21 Nursing Problem Model
the data were collected by face to face interview technique. As a result of the
findings, the use of Abdellah's theory for nursing care in amputated
individuals was found to be very effective.
Diyabet
hastalarında oluşan ve iyileşmesi uzun zaman alan diyabetik ayak yaraları,
bacaklarda arter tıkanması veya sinir uçlarında nöropati nedeniyle meydana
gelir. Diyabetin en sık görülen komplikasyonu diyabetik ayak sendromu olup
önemli bir morbidite ve mortalite nedenidir. Cerrahi işlem planlanan hastada
ameliyat öncesi, sırası ve sonrası hastanın fiziksel, psikolojik ve sosyal
yönden değerlendirilmesi hemşirelik bakımında son derece önemlidir. Hemşirelik
bakımının planlanması, uygulanması ve değerlendirilmesinde bilimsel bilgi
ışığında ilerleyerek uygun kuram modellerinin kullanılması gerekmektedir. Faye
Glenn Abdellah hemşirelik kuramlarının temellendirilmesinde rol üstlenerek uygulanabilir
ve anlaşılabilir 21 hemşirelik sorunu modelini geliştirmiştir. Amputasyon
geçirmiş hastada Abdellah’ın 21 Hemşirelik Sorunu Modeli ile hemşirelik
bakımını ele alan olgu sunumunda veriler yüz yüze görüşme tekniği kullanılarak
toplanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular neticesinde Abdellah’ın kuramının amputasyon
geçiren bireylerde hemşirelik bakımına yönelik kullanımı oldukça etkin
bulunmuştur.
