Baba Oluyorum: Değişen Rollerime Uyum Sağlıyorum

Öz

Baba adaylarının doğum öncesi dönemde kadına destek olmak, yaşanan stresi azaltmaya yardımcı olmak ve doğum ile ilgili bilgi sahibi olmaları gerekmektedir. Bu sayede anne adayının doğum süreci ile ilgili korkularının azaltılması ve doğum sonrası yaşanabilecek komplikasyonları önlenmesi açısından erkeğin rollerini bilmesi, benimsemesi ve sürece adaptasyonunda önemli rol oynamaktadır. Doğum sırasında ise babaların, anne adayına duygusal destek vermeleri, doğum sürecine aktif bir şekilde katılmaları önerilmektedir. Doğum sonrasında ise, bebeğin bakımında ve emzirme konusunda anne adayına yardımcı olmaları, bebeğin güvenliği için gerekli önlemleri almaları ve kadının dinlenmesine fırsat tanımaları önerilmektedir. Sonuç olarak, babaların doğumda rolü konusunda yapılan araştırmalar, babaların doğum öncesinde, sırasında ve sonrasında aktif bir rol almalarının önemini vurgulamaktadır. Bu şekilde, annelerin doğum sürecinde daha rahat hissetmeleri ve doğum sonrası dönemi daha kolay geçirmeleri açısından önemlidir.

I AM BECOMING A FATHER: I AM ADAPTING TO MY CHANGING ROLES

Öz

It is important for fathers to support women during the prenatal period, help reduce stress, and become knowledgeable about childbirth. By doing so, fathers can play an important role in reducing the mother's fears about the childbirth process and preventing complications that may occur after childbirth. During childbirth, it is recommended that fathers provide emotional support to the mother and actively participate in the childbirth process. After childbirth, fathers are advised to assist the mother with baby care and breastfeeding, take necessary precautions for the baby's safety, and provide opportunities for the mother to rest. In conclusion, research on the role of fathers in childbirth emphasizes the importance of fathers taking an active role before, during, and after childbirth. This is important for mothers to feel more comfortable during the childbirth process and to make the postpartum period easier for them.
