SAĞLIK ÇALIŞANLARINA KARŞI İŞYERİ ŞİDDETİ

Öz

Çalışmanın amacı, sağlık çalışanlarının işyerinde şiddet ile karşılaşma oranını, karşılaştıkları şiddet türlerini, şiddeti gerçekleştirenleri, şiddetin zamanını, nedenlerini ve şiddete karşı gösterilen davranışları belirlemek ve bu şiddet değişkenlerinin demografik özelliklere göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını değerlendirmektir. Çalışma, sağlık çalışanları üzerinde yapıldı. Veriler anket formu ile toplandı. Toplam 345 anket değerlendirmeye alındı. Veriler, SPSS for Windows 22 paket programı ile analiz edildi. Çalışanların çoğunluğunun (%86,1) görev esnasında şiddetle karşılaşma endişesi yaşadığı ve en az bir şiddet türü ile karşılaştığı belirlendi. Çalışanların çoğunlukla hasta (%25,6) ve yakınları (%65,4) tarafından şiddete maruz kaldığı, erkeklerin daha fazla şiddet uyguladığı (%58,5) ve şiddetin büyük oranda (%56,4) mesai saatlerinde meydana geldiği tespit edildi. Şiddete karşı çalışanların genellikle karşılık vermeden işine devam etme ve güvenliğe bildirme davranışları gösterdiği belirlendi. En önemli şiddet nedenleri olarak, şiddeti uygulayanların şiddeti kendilerine hak görmeleri ve hastanede güvenlik önlemlerinin yetersizliği gösterildi. Çalışanlar işyerinde en fazla sözel şiddete maruz kalmaktadır. Dahası demografik özelliklere göre çalışanların işyeri şiddet algısı değişmektedir.

WORKPLACE VIOLENCE AGAINST HEALTH WORKERS

Öz

The purpose of the study is to determine the rate of the workplace violence against health workers, the types of violence they encounter, violence practitioners, time of violence, causes and the behaviors who is shown against violence, and to evaluate whether the variables of violence vary according to the demographic characteristics. This study is conducted on health workers. Data is collected through a questionnaire. A total of 345 questionnaires are evaluated. Data is analyzed with the SPSS 22. It has been determined that most of workers’ anxious about encountering violence during their duty (86.1%) and they have experienced at least one type of violence. It is found that, workers are mostly exposed to violence by patients (25.6%) and their relatives (65.4%), men commit more violent (58.5%), and violence is occurred mostly in working hours (56.4%). It has been determined that workers against violence usually show behaviors to continue to work without responding and to report security. The most important causes of violence is showed by those who committed violence, they think it is their rights and the lack of safety precautions in the hospitals. Workers expose to the most verbal violence at their workplace. Further perception of their workplace violence changes according to some demographic characteristics.
