Abstract

Polycystic ovary syndrome is a health problem that is one of the important causes of infertility, hirsutism and anovulation in premenopausal women with unknown etiology. This problem can cause many disorders such as insulin resistance, Type II Diabetes, Gestational Diabetes, heart disease, sleep apnea and stroke in women of childbearing age. The Ketogenic Diet is a type of diet that is high in fat and low in carbohydrate, and contains sufficient protein and energy. Ketogenic Diet is currently used in the treatment of diseases such as obesity, epilepsy and cancer. The purpose of this review is to examine the effect of Ketogenic Nutrition on Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. Large-scale and long-term human studies are needed to get accurate results.
