Use of Topical Tacrolimus in Veterinary Dermatology

Year 2020, Volume: 5 Issue: 1, 30 - 37, 30.04.2020

Abstract

Tacrolimus (FK506) is a calcineurin inhibitor, macrolide group, immunosuppressive agent, commonly used to prevent tissue rejection after organ transplants. In recent studies, the use of topical tacrolimus has been shown to be effective in the treatment of atopic dermatitis, idiopathic dermatitis of cats, proliferative and necrotizing otitis externa, eosinophilic granuloma complex, lupus erythematosus and pemphigus erythematosus. This review aims to review the pharmacological properties of tacrolimus and its use in veterinary dermatology.

Topikal Takrolimusun Veteriner Dermatolojide Kullanımı

Year 2020, Volume: 5 Issue: 1, 30 - 37, 30.04.2020
