This study was conducted to examine the relationship between posttraumatic growth and life satisfaction in women with disabled children. This descriptive study was conducted at İnönü University Foundation Special Education and Rehabilitation Centre affiliated with the Ministry of Education in an eastern province of Turkey between June 2019 and September 2019. No sample was selected in the study and all of the mothers of 53 children attending İnönü University Foundation Special Education and Rehabilitation Centre were reached. It was found that the state of receiving support in the care of a disabled child had a positive effect on posttraumatic growth and life satisfaction. A low positive correlation was found between posttraumatic growth and life satisfaction. It can be seen that unexpected situations like having a disabled child provide growth and affect life satisfaction positively as well as create trauma in individuals.
