Year 2024, , 237 - 244, 31.08.2024
https://doi.org/10.51754/cusbed.1516834

Abstract

Teaching Cardiovascular Emergencies to First and Emergency Aid Students with Puzzle Technique: A Qualitative Study

Year 2024, , 237 - 244, 31.08.2024
https://doi.org/10.51754/cusbed.1516834

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine students' experiences and opinions about the questions in the semi-structured interview form and the teaching of cardiovascular emergencies with the puzzle technique. Twelve students who received training on cardiovascular emergencies were randomly selected for the study and the evaluation was made under four themes. These are the emotions felt while solving the puzzle, solving the puzzle with its benefits, solving the puzzle with its challenges, and the skills I developed with the puzzle. The students who participated in the study said that puzzles make the lessons fun, facilitate learning, increase motivation and increase the retention of information. As a result, it shows that puzzles play an important role both as a fun way of spending time and in learning and development processes.
