Evaluation of Information on Turkish Websites on Organ Transplant and Nursing Care

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the quality of information about organ transplantation in Turkish websites. For the descriptive research, the keywords of organ transplant, organ transplantation, tissue and organ transplant, tissue and organ transplantation are scanned in the four search engines with the highest number of users in Turkey. As a result of the search, the first 10 pages in the list reached for each keyword in each search engine were determined and the sites were scanned in 4 search engines (n=1640). Duplications (n=1003), sponsored links (n=23), video links (n=20), links that cannot be viewed or have no content (n=80) were eliminated. Thus, the sample of the study was found to be (n=514). The data of the study Greene et al. (2005) method was collected until 12.09.2021 with reference to the scoring list prepared by the researchers about the treatment and care of organ transplantation. Data were analyzed in SPSS 22 program. 32.9% of the information on the internet about organ transplantation is up to date between 2021 and 2017 and the most frequently encountered "blog and forum" sites about organ transplantation (21.4%) are the topics prepared on organ transplantation. when the points are distributed according to; It was determined that the most adequate information in proportion was about the organs that can be transplanted (74.7%), and the most inadequate information was the care of the donor and recipient before and after the surgery (91.6%). The total mean score was found to be 6.09±1.33 out of 20 points in the list. Research findings show that the information available on the internet about organ transplantation is of low quality. It may be possible to reach more data on the current situation by conducting more comprehensive studies on the same subject.

Organ Nakli Tedavisi ve Hemşirelik Bakımı Konusunda Türkçe Web Sitelerindeki Bilgilerin Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı Türkçe web sitelerindeki organ nakli hakkındaki bilgilerin kalitesini incelemektir. Tanımlayıcı olarak gerçekleştirilen araştırma için organ nakli, organ transplantasyonu, doku ve organ nakli, doku ve organ transplantasyonu anahtar kelimeleri Türkiye’de kullanıcı sayısı en fazla olan dört arama motoru üzerinden tarandı. Tarama sonucunda, her arama motorunda her bir anahtar kelime için ulaşılan listede ilk sıradaki 10 sayfa tespit edildi ve 4 arama motorunda (n=1640) site tarandı. Aynı olan siteler (n=1003), sponsorlu bağlantılar (n=23), video bağlantıları (n=20), görüntülenemeyen veya içeriği bulunmayan bağlantılar (n=80) elendi. Böylece araştırmanın örneklemi (n=514) olarak bulundu. Araştırmanın verileri Greene ve ark. (2005) yöntemi kullanılarak organ nakli tedavi ve bakımı hakkında araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan puanlama listesi referans alınarak 12.09.2021 tarihine kadar toplandı. Veriler SPSS 22 programında analiz edildi.
Organ nakli konusunda internette bulunan bilgilerin %32,9’unun 2017-2021 yılları arasında güncel veriler olduğu ve yapılan taramalarda organ nakli konusunda en sık “blog ve forum” siteleriyle karşılaşıldığı (%21,4), organ nakli konusunda hazırlanan konu başlıklarına göre puanlar dağıtıldığında; oransal olarak en yeterli bilgilerin nakil yapılabilecek organlar hakkında (%74,7), en yetersiz bilginin ameliyat öncesi ve sonrasında donör ve alıcının bakımı olduğu (%91,6) belirlendi. Listedeki 20 puan üzerinden toplam ortalama puan 6,09±1,33 olarak bulundu. Araştırma bulguları organ nakli konusunda internette bulunan bilgilerin düşük kaliteli olduğunu göstermektedir. Aynı konuda daha kapsayıcı benzer araştırmaların yapılması ile mevcut durum hakkında daha fazla veriye ulaşılması mümkün olabilir.
